More hands-on film experience outside of LUX
Classes: Unfortunately, UW does not offer a film production program. However, there are a few options to look for when registering each quarter that provide some of the experience a traditional productions program would.
DXARTS (Digital arts) courses. Teaches technology-based production of experimental art.
CMS electives. Some greats include “Directing actors for the screen” and “Beginning Screenwriting”. These classes fill fast, so register on time!
Internships (will count for credit). CMS internships have been historically limited. One great option is BIG10 studentU Broadcasting. Applications are currently closed, but open at the beginning of each new school year.
